MEDEK Information Meeting Held for Administrative Staff and Security Personnel at Ayvalık Vocational School

An information meeting was held at Balıkesir University Ayvalık Vocational School with the participation of administrative staff and security personnel within the scope of the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association (MEDEK). The meeting aimed to improve educational activities within the quality assurance framework and raise awareness of institutional accreditation processes.
Organized by Lecturer Hayri Taşkır, Deputy Director of Ayvalık Vocational School, and Lecturer Soner Çabuk, Head of the Department of Management and Organization, the meeting addressed the duties and responsibilities of administrative staff and security personnel throughout the MEDEK accreditation process.
During the meeting, participants were informed about institutional quality assurance, student and staff satisfaction, internal communication, the effectiveness of service processes, the safety of physical facilities, a student-oriented service approach, and continuous improvement activities.
It was also emphasized that the accreditation process is not limited to academic activities. The effectiveness of administrative services, the provision of safe and accessible educational environments, and the contribution of all employees to the institutional quality culture were highlighted as essential components of the process.
In line with the MEDEK evaluation criteria, participants exchanged views on regularly monitoring administrative procedures, improving service quality, implementing corrective and improvement measures to address identified issues, and ensuring that institutional processes are carried out based on documented evidence.
The meeting, which aimed to promote a quality culture among all employees of Ayvalık Vocational School and encourage active participation in the accreditation process, concluded after participants' opinions and suggestions were heard.
Balıkesir University Ayvalık Vocational School continues to pursue its quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives with determination through cooperation between its academic and administrative staff.
